Celebrity Tattoos - Ashlee Simpson Wentz

At first glance Ashlee Simposon Wentz doesn't really look like someone that would have a tattoo or six for that matter. Well in case you didn't know Ashlee has at least six tattoos. This just goes to show that anyone can sport a tattoo and people not even notice, that is if they are tastefully done and they are small. Which most of Ashlee's tattoos are small.

    Here's a list of Ashlee's tattoos:

    1. Love on her left wrist.

    2. A star on her right wrist, which was later covered up by a big red rose with green leaves, that looks rather out of place.

    3. Two small cherries on her heel.

    4. The number three written under the word LOVE on her right wrist.

    5. A peace sign on her middle right finger.

    6. An unidentified red tattoo on her inner left ring finger.

Ashlee shared with everyone what her first and second tattoo was:

"The first tattoo I got was a star and I got that with a few of my best friends. I have that one when I finished my first record and I have 'LOVE' on my other hand when I finished my second record."

Just in case you are wondering if Ashlee has any plans on getting any more tattoos in the near future, the answer to that question is yes. Ashlee wanted to get a tattoo that showed Pete how much she loved him and how proud she to be his wife. But since she unexpectedly got pregnant she is having to wait on adding another tattoo to her body. Apparently, Ashlee is planning on getting "ASW" tattooed on her shoulder. Which may or may not be such a good idea. After all marriages in Hollywood only last a few years.

The one tattoo that most everyone has seen is the black peace symbol located on her left wrist. If you look at it, it looks upside down but from Lady Gaga's view it is right side up. She says she got this tattoo because of John Lennon. She is a huge John Lennon and Beatles fan and she grew up two miles from the imagine memorial. Celebrity Tattoos

When it comes to celebrity tattoos, there are two approaches that people consider. The first is to emulate a design that is similar to their favorite movie star, athlete, or musician.

The second approach is to actually pay homage to a celebrity by inking their likeness onto their body. For this reason, people are constantly keeping a lookout for the latest trends in celebrity tattoos.

As you scan your favorite magazine, television show, or film, the lives of celebrities unfold to the point that you are able to pinpoint each and every time they mark their body with a new tattoo. While you may or may not desire the same exact tattoo, their choices may encourage your creative juices and help you explore what you want out of a design.

Outside of athletes and musicians, one of the more popular tattooed celebrities is Angelina Jolie, who has influenced many to explore the world of tribal tattoos, with the dragon, tiger, and foreign writing found on her shoulders and arms.

While movie stars are rather influential in the trends of tattooing, the choices of musicians are followed as well. An assortment of R&B artists, hip-hop, and rock stars are often scrutinized for the various creations they display. For example, the "Thug Life" tattoo that Tupac showcased on his stomach has inspired numerous tattoo designs over the years.

While the tattoos that celebrities select have persuaded many to follow the same path, it is the accomplishments or connections that fans make with these stars that also influences tattoo designs. Music is a powerful source of healing, which has encouraged some to tattoo their favorite artists onto their body in remembrance of their heartache, pain, and triumph.

Celebrity Tattoos - Megan Fox

The beautiful Transformers star is a avid tattoo lover and has several of her own. A lot of people may not understand her tattoos and I've read a lot of people think they are tacky. But people don't get tattoos for other people they get them for themselves and I'm sure every tattoo that Megan has, has a special meaning to her.

    Megan tattoos include:

A portrait of Marilyn Monroe on her right forearm, star and crescent moon on her right leg, symbol for strength on the back of her neck, a Shakespeare quote on her back, some tribal symbols, and a "Brian" on her stomach, as well as a poem she wrote that's on her ribcage.

Megan does have some regrets about one of her tattoos.

"She regrets the "tribal" tat. She said, "The guy was smoking weed while he tattooed me and he didn't do it correctly. Now it's nothing and I'm gonna get it removed. I was told he was a really amazing tattoo artist but he wasn't on his game that night. He was distracted."

Celebrity Tattoos - Brian Austin Green

Brian Austin Green has come a long way since his David Silver and 90210 days. Currently David is involved with the Sarah Conner Chronicles on Fox. David has had much success with this new show, which has quickly become a hit show and has quit the following. Even though Brian Austin Green has broken up with his longtime very hot girlfriend, Megan Fox there is still one thing that the two still have in common and share a love for, tattoos.

Below is a list of some of Brian Austin Green's tattoos:

    1. Brian has an Aztec thunderbird design on right shoulder

    2. A cross on his left shoulder

    3. Under the cross on his left shoulder reads JOHN 3:16

    4. A tattoo of Megan's name located somewhere on his body, which he is probably regretting right about now

    5. He has his son's name Kassius tattooed on the inside of his left arm in some sort of old English writing.

    6. A big dragon wrapped around his lower right forearm and his elbow.

    7. Blue and white flames going up his left bicep.

Once again people take this as a lesson learned. Absolutely do not get a lover's names tattooed on you no matter what. It is literally the kiss of death. You may not break up the next day or week or even month, but some day down the line you will break up. It's like putting a cruse on your relationship not to work out. So beware of the lover's name tattoo. However, you can also take note from Brian and get your child's name tattooed on you, if you are dying to get someones name tattooed on you.

Celebrity Tattoos - Lindsay Lohan

This troubled teen star has a handful of tattoos of her own. She even has a very strange white tattoo that looks more like a branding than an actual tattoo. Lindsay has a total of five tattoos, believe it or not

Here is a list of all of Lindsay's tattoos

    1. A star outlined in black on her wrist

    2. A small red star in between her thumb and index finger on her left hand

    3. A small heart outlined in black on her right hand in between her thumb and index finger

    4. "la bella vita" tattooed on her lower back which means life is beautiful in Italian. It has been reported that Lindsay got this tattoo in remembrance on her Italian grandfather.

    5. The last and probably most interesting tattoo Lindsay has is on her right wrist. She has the word "Breathe" tattooed in white ink. It is hard to notice unless you are very close up. It looks more like a branding that a tattoo. It has been reported that Lindsay got the word breathe on her wrist from a quote she liked by John Lennon. "Get out there and get peace, think peace, live peace, and breathe peace, and you'll get it as soon as you like." But Lindsay also admits that it helps remind her to breathe and how important life is.

Rumor has it that Lindsay is so much in love with tattoos that she wants to open her very own tattoo parlor

Celebrity Tattoos - Usher

The very talented R& B/Rapper and father of two is no stranger to the tattoo gun. The soulful singer has a small tattoo collection of his own, that he loves to display to anyone and everyone who will pay attention. Unlike most celebrities Usher does not try to hide or cover up his tattoos. He has them in fairly noticeable places.

Below is a list of Usher's tattoos:

    1. Usher has a small black star on each hand in between his thumb and index finger.

    2. He has a fairly large black tribal design on his left shin.

    3. A colored tattoo of a break dancer on right shin.

    4. He has Usher tattooed on his left bicep in graffiti type writing with a sword going through his name.

    5. Just last weekend in Las Vegas Usher was getting a sleeve worked on. No details on what the sleeve is of. The only thing that is known is it has special meaning to Usher.

There has also been some speculation of two other tattoos that Usher has. One of them being the name James tattooed on his upper left calf. (James is Usher's brother's name) Also there has been some talk that Usher got the letter K that sits inside of a heart tattooed on one of his hands. Supposedly, Usher lost his virginity to a girl named Karen or something to that effect and he felt the need to mark that on him for the rest of his life. However, not one single picture can be located of either of these tattoos.

Celebrity Tattoos - Victoria Beckham

Since today is Wednesday and it is time for another celebrity tattoo post I thought I would go with former Spice Girl Victoria "Posh" Beckham. One of the reason I decided to do her today is because of the post I wrote yesterday about tattoos being trashy or sexy. Now it should be no surprise to people that Victoria has several tattoos and they are in noticeable places. But in my opinion the way she carries herself and they attitude she has her tattoos do not look trashy to me at all.

Victoria has five tattoos as of now and living up to her Posh nickname she has kept them classy if that makes any sense. Her first tattoo is on her lower back and it is five stars. The five starts represent her, David and their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

Her second tattoo is going down the back of her neck. Victoria and David got these matching tattoos on their 6th wedding anniversary. It is in Hebrew and is from the Song of Songs 2:16: I am my beloved and my beloved is mine. Which is you remember Christina Aguilera has this same tattoo.

The third tattoo that Victoria has is MAY 08 1997 in roman numerals tattooed on her wrist. Strangely enough this is the first time the two had sex and Victoria thought it was a great event in her life to be remembered.

Celebrity Tattoos - Tommy Lee

It's time for another edition of celebrity tattoo. Today I decided to do Tommy Lee, mainly because I have been watching this show called Battleground Earth that comes on the Green Channel that stars Tommy Lee and Ludacris. I think it is safe to say that we all know that Tommy Lee pretty much has half if not more than half of his body covered in tattoos.

However, I wasn't able to find a list of all the tattoos Tommy has, Tommy himself has even lost count. But I do know that he has Mayhem tattooed across his stomach, he has an ex-girlfriends lips tattooed on his neck. He has Brandon on one wrist and Dylan on another. Interesting note, he had both Brandon and Dylan write their names out and he took those to a tattoo artist and had him tattoo them on his wrist. And he has a huge tribal design covering almost all of his back. He also has two stars on each hand. This is pretty much all I know. Because the tattoo sleeves he has on his arms are pretty hard to make out. He also has several tattoos on his legs too but I'm not too sure what they are.

Celebrity Tattoos - Chris Martin

Well here we are another Wednesday so that means, it is time for another Celebrity Tattoo post. Today I choose to write about Chris Martin, mainly because he just made a really great comment about tattoos the other day and I thought it would be perfect for this blog

Chris says that the buzz he gets from getting tattoos is like drugs to him. Chris also admitted that he turned to tattoos because he was afraid of getting caught doing drugs by the tabloids. Here's what Chris had to say,

"Getting tattooed is brilliant. I got a few done in my 30s and it is the best ever - especially if you are married and can't take drugs because the (British newspaper) Daily Mirror might find out. I recommend getting a tattoo whether you are 70 or 12 - actually, maybe not 12, I think that might be a bit too young."

Of course I have to agree with Chris, there is nothing like the feeling you get when you get a tattoo and for some unknown reason they are addictive and I truly can see where he is coming from with the whole reference to them being like a drug to him.

Oddly, enough for Chris to be such a huge tattoo lover I looked all over the internet and could not find a single picture or any information about the tattoos that Chris has. You might have seen him on several occasions with black markings or writing in his hands but that's from a sharpie that Chris drew on himself.

Celebrity Tattoos - Britney Spears

We all know the troubled pop princess has a few tattoos of her own. You will be surprised to know that Britney Spears has a total of nine tattoos. Of course at first glance you would never know the pop princess had so many tattoos. Mainly because hers are fairly small and most of them are covered up all the time.

    Here's a list of Britney's nine tattoos

    1. A flower fairy which is located on Britney's lower back.

    2. Kabbalah symbols. There are three symbols on the back of Britney's neck. It is suppose to translate to "healing". But there has been many reports claiming that the three symbols are out of order so her tattoo doesn't really mean anything. deliver.

    3. A kanji and flower located on the front of one of Brit's hips. The kanji that is in the center of the flower was intended to stand for mystery, but some people have pointed out that the meaning of her particular kanji actually stands for strange.

    4. A simple daisy design wraps around the second toe on Brit's right foot.

    5. Butterfly vine tattoo that is also located on her right foot.

    6. A small star on her right hand.

    7. Pink dice on the inside of her left wrist. Ex-husband Kevin Federline has the same tattoo but he has blue dice.

    8. A pink cross on her hip.

    9. Small red lips on the inside of her right wrist.

Britney is a great example of why you need to do your homework and double check the meanings of tattoos if you are going to get a symbol from another language or religion tattooed on you.

I decided to go with Pink this week, mainly because she has a ton of tattoos and I thought it would be great to cover her. Also I would love to know if everyone out there thinks her tattoos are too much or if they are just right?

Wrist Tattoo - How To Find the Perfect Tattoo Design For You

The popularity of the wrist tattoo is on the rise as shown by the number of top celebrities getting them. There are many types of wrist tattoos including stars, words, and wrist bands. The wrist is a great location for a tattoo that you can hide or show off as you choose. What an ideal spot for your favorite saying or symbol.

    Types Of Wrist Tattoo Designs

The most common location is the inside of the wrist. They are very popular because it is easier to hide an inner wrist tattoo. Some folks like to have their wrist tattoo on top of their wrist in combination with a tattoo sleeve or hand tattoos. Even more daring is a tattoo that encircles the wrist like a bracelet. A tattoo of this type is just like an armband tattoo but much lower. Pink has "What Goes Around Comes Around" and "TRU LUV" circling her right wrist. Peaches Geldof has a crucifix tattoo around her left wrist.

Nautical stars and words are probably the most used wrist tattoos. Wrist band tattoos are usually celtic knots or barbed wire. In addition to english words both kanji and sanskrit are often used. Women sometimes get flowers, hearts, or kissing lips tattoos.

    Getting A Wrist Tattoo

Are they painful to get? You would expect so since there is little to cushion the needle in the wrist area, but most people with tattoos say no. Also since the wrist area is exposed, healing time can be longer and touching up may be required down the road too. In addition, 25% regret their tattoo decision after the fact so consider this before you get one.

You will most likely need to keep it hidden while at work. Unless you want to wear long sleeves all the time, a great trick is to make sure a wristwatch can cover it. After hours you can uncover and show off your ink all you want to your hearts desire.

    Celebrities With Wrist Tattoos

A growing number of top celebrities sport wrist tattoos. Nicole Ritchie has inner wrist tattoos of a red shooting star on her left wrist and the word "virgin" on her right. Lindsay Lohans wrist tattoo is the word "breathe" in white and located on her right wrist and a small star tattoo on inside left wrist. Britney Spears has a lips tattoo. Jessica Alba has a Sanskrit character for lotus flower on her wrist. Ashlee Simpson has a star tattoo and a "love" tattoo. Orlando Bloom's wrist tattoo is of the Elvish word for "nine". All nine of the "Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring" actors have this same tattoo to celebrate their participation in the films.

Celebrity Tattoo - Drew Barrymore

Well it is another Wednesday so that means it is celebrity tattoo time. This week I picked Drew Barrymore because she has a collection of 6 tattoos at the moment. But Drew has admitted that if the mood strikes her she hasn't ruled out the possibility of getting another one.

Drew's tattoos consist of a bouquet of flowers on the left side of her hip. On her stomach she has a butterfly tattoo which is probably her most well known tattoo. She also have a very small black crescent moon on her big toe. On the lower part of her right leg she has a fairly large tattoo of a cross with vines surrounding it. And lastly she has two angles on her lower back. One has Drew's mother's name "Jaid" written under it and the other has an ex-boyfriend's name "James" under it.

Celebrity Tattoo Regret - Megan Fox

Megan Fox has not come out and admitted she regrets one of her tattoos, but it's pretty safe to assume she is majorly regretting that Brian tattoo she has on her pelvic area. Megan and fiance, Austin Green have officially called off their engagement and have broken up. So it is pretty safe to say Megan is asking herself, "What was I thinking?"

This is a prefect example to every young woman and man out there. Just because you have been with someone for years and are committed to each other and plan to marry, things can still go wrong. So Megan is now left with a few choices, one get her Brian tattooed removed by laser tattoo removal or have it covered up with another tattoo. While the cost of the laser tattoo removal is no concern to Megan because she has the money to do so. She may opt to cover it up. However, if she decided to cover up that tattoo with a new tattoo it will have to be twice the size if not three times the size of the her current Brain tattoo to properly cover it up.

So take this as a lesson learned to anyone out there that wants to be over romantic and get a tattoo of a lover's name. Simply do not do it. You honestly never know how things will turn out and you don't want to be left with a permanent reminded of that ill-fated relationship you want to leave in the past.

Your Body With a Sexy Tattoo Design

The options are aplenty where sexy tat designs are concerned. Still, the crop of women tend to largely associate tat designs that are colored with sexiness. For instance, a large rose tattoo with bright red colors on its petals, green for its leaves and brown/black for its stem/thorns is widely regarded as sexy. Having mentioned that, where sexy tattoo designs are concerned, many have the notion that apart from the designs in itself, the placement of these tattoos in itself are equally important.

As we mentioned earlier, sexy tattoos that are tattooed on different parts of the body will give out different messages or different levels of sexiness for that matter. As an example, women who choose to get tattoos on their breast and chest are are said to be romantic. On the other hand, tattoos that are done on the more intimate areas of the woman's body such as the inner thigh is said to ooze high in the level of sexiness. The reason for this is, as we mentioned early in the article, rarely seen by most people other than those that have c close, intimate and sexy relationship.

What this means is the issue of sexy tattoo designs is largely debatable and one that largely depends on the individual getting the tattoo. It comes down to the choice of whether the bearer intends the sexy tat design to be appreciated by the public or reserved for a special someone.

Sexy Ankle Tattoo Designs For Girls - A Must Have Accessory

One of the sexiest accessories any girl can have is a tattoo. Tattoos show off your personality. Depending on their deign and location, they can make a girl look so exotic and attractive. But getting a sexy tattoo requires a lot of thought. The design you choose is going to be with you forever, night and day. It's not a decision to be taken lightly, so here are some thoughts on sexy ankle tattoo designs for girls.

The ankle is a great place for a tattoo on girls because they are really showcased by the right pair of strappy sandals. Seeing a sexy tattoo in a suggestive place can earn you a lot of attention. Be ready for lots of compliments, from both girls and guys.

Some of the most common ankle tattoo designs are fairies, dragons, flowers, stars, crosses, Chinese characters, butterflies, or signs of the Zodiac. But that doesn't mean you can't tattoo anything you want, including words and cartoon characters. Your imagination is literally the limit when it comes to ankle tattoos.

Before you get inked, know a few basic things about tattoos. One, most places in Canada and the U.S. require you to be 18 to get a tattoo. You may be 16 if you have parental consent or a parent accompanying you to the studio.

Two, check out the studio where you plan to have your tattoo done. Laws governing tattoos are really spotty, so just about anyone can buy a machine and start inking people. Having an inexperienced or unprofessional tattoo artist can leave you with a really poor-quality tattoo that you're stuck with for life. You could also develop a nasty infection at the tattoo site, which could sometimes even be fatal! Check online and with your friends to find a good studio. Only visit one that you know has done quality work before.

Before you go get your tattoo, spend some time doing a little research. You may be excited to go out and get it done, but you'll have it with you forever so there's no need to be hasty in your decision. Browse designs and sketches to get a clear idea of exactly what it is you want. Browse online tattoo design galleries for ideas and inspiration. Getting a sexy ankle tattoo is going to be best achieved when you do your research and find the perfect design ahead of time, before you show up at the studio.

Sexy Ankle Tattoo Designs For Women

Have you been thinking about getting a sexy ankle tattoo design? Ankle tattoos have been around for a long time and have always been a very popular place to get a tattoo for women. There are a variety of reasons for this they are very sexy, easily hidden when needed and there are a ton of great designs that work well on a female ankle. Below you will find some great ideas for ankle tattoo designs for women.

    Ankle Tattoos Are Easily Hidden

One of the best things about ankle tattoo designs are they can easily be hidden by wearing a pair of shoes and socks. If you work in a job wear bearing a tattoo is not acceptable then you can just cover it easily. However, if you want to show off your tattoo just take off the socks or wear a pair of sexy sandals to bring attention to your ankles.

    Ankle Tattoo Ideas

There are a wide variety of different ankle tattoos and one of the most important things to consider when trying to choose the design that is just right for you is to choose something that has symbolic significance to you. It might be a flower that is of special important or even the names of your children. Whatever it is you will be much happier with your tattoo if you put some time into carefully considering the design that you want.

Some of the most popular ankle tattoo designs are: Celtic, tribal, Hawaiian, dolphin tattoos.

    Typical Costs

One of the best things about ankle tattoos is they are often not very expensive. Of course if you are looking to really save money and don't have much to spend you can simply get some of the flash that is in the tattoo shop you go to. However, this is not really the recommended way and instead it is better to choose a design that you create and holds significance for you. Even though it costs more to have an artist create a design for you in the end you will be much happier with the resulting tattoo. Ankle tattoos are pretty small and can most frequently be done in only one sitting a few hours tops. Thus means they will often be rather inexpensive. A typical tattoo will cost between $50 to $200 dollars.

    Tattoo Pain

Pain is very subjective and what is unbearable to one person is no big deal to another person. Therefore it is hard to state clearly how painful the tattoo will be. However the easiest way to consider if a tattoo will be more or less painful is to think about the amount of tissue between where the tattoo will be done and bone. If there is not a lot of other tissue in the area that the tattoo is most likely going to be more painful. Therefore an ankle tattoo can be more painful then an arm tattoo design.

Tribal Scorpion Tattoo Designs

Most of the modern tattoo art we see today are said to have originated from the tribes of the Polynesian islands. The tribal designs have been both a mix of tribal heritage and modern creative ingenuity. Modern tribal tattoo art consists of abstract designs, shapes and symbols. They also include a variety of animal figures abstracted to give that tribal look.

It has been known before that tattoos serve as protection in as much as magic amulets have been known to give the wearer. Tattoos were also made as a form of solidifying a person, or even a clan's identity. Today, imbued with this rich history, many people have been immersed with the tattoo arts and have had inked themselves as part of their identity. A prominent tattoo design that exhibits a person's identity are the animal designs, one of which we will be looking at is the tribal scorpion tattoo.

One of the prevalent designs in the tribal art is the tribal scorpion tattoo. This is basically a Scorpion tattoo inspired by the tribal art. The color lines of this tattoo are generally dark and black. Some artists prefer a simple scorpion design, but others however, add the abstraction and the quirky lines that sets tribal designs at par with the others.

The scorpion, as embodied by the tribal scorpion tattoo, is both a symbol and an animal that personifies power, intensity, passion and mystery. Hence this design has attracted, and is still attracting a lot of people. This tribal design is a hit to most teenagers, and is also generating a good number in the adult tattoo community. This is definitely one design to ponder on when getting a tattoo.

Reasons to Get Inked With Tribal Hawaiian Tattoo Designs

Tattooing is one of the very important rituals in Hawaiian culture, like praying to a tattoo god each time one member of their community commits to a tattoo in which prayers had to be done in the temple. The purposes for tattooing are not primarily to follow a fashion trend. As a ritual, most tattoos represent these few intentions like mourning for a lost loved one, the charm of Talisman for protection from evil spirits, and personal identification which community or group they represent.

One of the most popular Hawaiian tattoo designs is the tribal design. The Tribal Hawaiian tattoo art, known as Kakau, has been practiced for thousands of years and for a variety of purposes. These purposes are Personal identification; Talisman wherein tattoos were believed to offer protection; as a symbol of mourning for a loved one; and Adornment. Getting a Hawaiian tattoo in a tribal community was not a very pleasant occasion because modern tattoo equipment was not part of tribal life instead they used sharp and pointy parts of animals, like bird beaks and claws that were connected to a branch and hit with a mallet. Tribal Hawaiian tattoos were mostly black and the tattoo ink was made of a mixture of kukui nuts and sugarcane juice.

Tribal Hawaiian tattoo designs are situated on several body parts. For males it is located in the legs, arms and torso, on the other hand for females it is located in the hands, wrist and tongue; and lastly for the traditional Hawaiian tattoo design is the Hawaiian Band and arms tattoos which are commonly placed on legs and arms.

Hawaiian arm tattoos are often a nod to the traditional Hawaiian tattoo style, though with a decidedly modern appearance. Michael Malone, tattoo artist and one of the students of Sailor Jerry created the Hawaiian armband tattoo in the 70s. Although he based his designs on the traditional Hawaiian tattoo motifs, the armband itself is not traditional later on the armband tattoo became popular amongst Hawaiian youth who wanted to express its heritage. The Hawaiian arm tattoos are also a manifestation of the resurgence of 'Tiki' culture which is so popular in the 1950s and 60s wherein its tattoo patterns are on the hands and the face. Tiki refers to the mythical ancestor and first human.

Tribal Tattoo Designs and Meanings

Tribal tattoos are the most popular tattoo designs around today. Just look at the amount of searches in Yahoo for this type of design. Last month there were over 64,000 searches. Some say you need to increase that by 7 to 8 times to get the number of searches in Google, giving around 500,000 searches. That's a lot of interest.

Why are tribal tattoo designs so popular?

Tribal tattoos mean different things to different people but their appeal cuts across all boundaries - the boundaries of time, race, creed, sex and age. They have been around for centuries. It is reported that tribal tattoos were found on the mummified remains of a Bronze Age man who died over 5,000 years ago. The tattoos were of mythical creatures.

Cultures from every corner of the globe have practiced the art of tattooing, including the North American Indians, Maori, Polynesians, Samoans, Africans, Egyptians, Hawaiians and the Tahitians to name a few.

The general practice of getting a tattoo is popular these days, as it allows people to express a personal freedom and also a uniqueness, that defines them as a person and helps them express who they are. The tribal tattoo in particular is popular because of the mystery behind this form of tattoo and because the tattoo links you with other wearers, giving you a sense of belonging.

This style of tattoo is becoming a popular favorite of women as well as men. It looks great on the lower back, and some women have the tribal tattoo design wrap around their hips. The shoulder is also popular, as the tattoo can be shown, if desired by wearing a tank top.

What are the meanings of Tribal Tattoos?

In ancient times, the tribal tattoo was used to mark the person being tattooed as a member of a tribe, and in some cases the position of that person in the tribe, such as the North American Indian. In some cultures, the actual process of getting a tattoo was performed at a ritual, for example when the person was coming of age.

Other cultures in Europe would get a tattoo of their family crest, to identify their origins. In some cultures, the location of the tattoo on the body is as important as the tattoo itself, as different locations had different meanings. These days, the location of the tattoo comes down to self expression more than anything else.

The designs were, and are still, commonly linear geometric motifs. The tribal tattoo is traditionally black in color, although this has changed in modern times. The pure black tattoos give a more striking appearance, due to the sharp lines and edging. When color is added the edges become less defined in appearance.

What ever sort of tattoo you want, the most important thing is to get something that has meaning to You. If you have decided to get a certain design, but can't find out the exact meaning of the one you have picked, make sure that it has meaning to you. You can also combine a tribal tattoo with another tattoo design such as an angel, cross, star, butterfly or something else that gives it more meaning to you. That will make it more unique, and make you stand out from the crowd.

I bet one of the first things you did when you decided you wanted a tattoo was to jump online and start searching from tribal tattoo flash designs to get some ideas of what you might like, right? There are a lot of tribal designs out there on the internet, but you want to be sure that your design is unique from everyone else's. After all, you don't want the same tattoo as a million other people, but a tattoo that is uniquely yours.

If you want a design that is all your own you need to look for unique tribal tattoo flash instead and search it out in places where everyone else might not be looking.

Another problem with searching for tribal tattoo flash online is that it can be hard to find any high quality flash. The tattoo is going to be on your body forever so it is no time to get meek and timid and not speak your mind. The clearer you are with the description of what you want the better the artist's drawing is going to fit with your ideas.

One good way to avoid miscommunication or misunderstandings and to get the design that you really want is to take in some tribal tattoo flash that you really like and then ask the artist to modify it to make it more unique. Some times strength is also associated with the dragon. Modern artists have created some really great tribal dragon tattoo designs.

It is very hard to find some unique designs of dragons. Most sketches of dragons found on the free gallery of many websites are very old and outdated. You won't find any unique sketches of tribal dragon in the three spring album of most tattoo parlors or studios. Finding The Perfect Tribal Sleeve Tattoo

Finding the perfect tribal sleeve tattoo can be a hassle, I know, but the tribal art design is worth it. Here is what you need to look for when trying to select tribal sleeve tattoo designs and styles, so you don't have to settle for art work that you see on the wall.

The tribal tattoo has become pretty mainstream. While this does not mean that it is a great tattoo to consider, it means that you need to take your time when trying to find the prefect tribal sleeve tattoo. Most of the generic, and even some of the better pieces you see on the internet, have been plastered all over the web. Who knows how many people took that design and got it inked into their skin? When it comes to choosing a tribal sleeve tattoo, there are many different styles and designs for you to choose from.

You can also have your own local artist render the design to your liking. You want to let your artist render it, because most of the flash art designs you have seen won't look good on your body, because they are drawn as an art piece, not as a tattoo piece. Tribal sleeve tattoo designs can look amazing, but in this day and age, you need an experienced artist for this.

As you may know, there are literally hundreds of different tribal sleeve tattoo designs out there. This is a good thing, because you are able to take your time and choose the very best pieces. The internet is a great place to find the perfect tribal back tattoo, but as I have said, they are pretty generic and even the good ones are not really drawn for implementation as a tattoo.

The reason behind this is because a large majority of the tribal sleeve tattoo designs, or even tattoo designs in general, are copywrited by the artists that made them. Why would an artist want their hard work plastered all over the place for people to steal? Most of the top of the line tribal sleeve tattoo designers also have stencil work that comes with their tattoos, which will be needed by your tattoo artist of choice if they are to put the ink on your body correctly.

Writing Tattoos: Tribal Designs

When I think of tribal tattoos I think mostly of Polynesian's and the unique tattoos which they use to demonstrate the various aspects of their life. A bit like gangster or jail tattoos in that the designs are telling their own story and signify some honour rank or skill that the individual possesses.

Perhaps the one thing that sticks out with tribal tattoos is the innovation and the variety of simple lines that signify a lot of designs of Tribal Tattoos. This is unique artwork, with most being more or less solid black with no other colours.

The fact that each tattoo can have several different meanings is something you need to consider. It is important that you know exactly what it is you want to say with the tattoo, this is just like a writing tattoo you must get the design correct. This can be researched online or you can discuss with your Tattoo artist, I always recommend that you have your design template for the artist as no matter how good they are it may not look quite like what you imagined.

Perhaps if you just like the style of the tattoo you could of course design your own and take this along to the tattoo artist just like a writing tattoo you could use the lines and design to implant some saying which need that second look to figure out.

In terms of position most tribal tattoos are big and bold and need some space however you can get them to fit any part of the body and just need to ensure that you consider the look is right for that area. Again this is where templates are good as you can lay them on and see what it looks like the correct sizing for the entire design.

If you go for the skulls and writing tattoos these can be created in a variety of sizes and still look good, big and bold on the back or small and sophisticated on the wrist again make sure you plan it and get the template.

A we all know in the world of tattoo designs there are thousands of potential tattoos to choose from. Each and every day, there are new designs added to studios and online tattoo websites.

The celebrity craze for Tattoos has ensured Tattoos are becoming more and more popular these days, choosing your design is the most important thing, don't copy some celebrity get what you want think about it take time and get it right, after all its your body and should last a lifetime.
